Wisdom is a virtue that currently our world lacks more then any other virtue. What is wisdom? According to Dictionary.com it is "the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight" . Our world today is calling things that are wrong, right and things that are right, wrong! Us Christians shouldn't be surprised by this. Why? Because it has been foretold to us that this very thing would happen! (see Isaiah 5:20) But even more so.. there are Christians who lack this amazing virtue as well.
the Bible tells us that the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. In the NLT version that verse says "the fear of the Lord is the FOUNDATION of wisdom" (Prov.9:10). Where is the fear of the Lord today? Not just in the world, but in the Body of Christ... so because the fear of GOD lacks in lives, there is no wisdom, there is no good judgement, there is NO discernment!
We must return to our first Love.
The Lord has used me to write a Devotional, and you guessed it, its on Wisdom! It's called "31 Days of Wisdom". This Devotional is not like your regular short daily read and prayer, no. Its a deep dive into the Book of Proverbs, and you will be encouraged to read a chapter each day (hence the 31 days) and you will use the devotional to complete a daily heart check, reflection and a prayer.
I believe the Lord will use this devotional to help us to continue to check our hearts constantly, and instill a greater measure of wisdom within us. The Lord wants to take us higher, but how can we go higher if knowledge doesn't increase? How can we go higher if our discernment doesn't increase or if we don't have any godly insight? The Lord wants us to be wise, He wants us to make good choices, steward well the things and knowledge He gives us and have good, and sound judgment.
