✝️ RUNNING THE RACE ✝️
✨🏃🏽♀️ ✨
Hebrews 12:1-2 talks about running the race God has set before us.
The Holy Spirit gave me such a profound revelation that I really needed to share it with you.
Let's read what verse 1 says..
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us."
We all have a race that we each are running, but some of us are running races that OTHERS have set before us, and some of us are actually running a "copycat" race that the devil plotted out for them!
Thats is why some of us are weary, some are worn out and DEHYDRATED some have even FAINTED and is passed out on the sidelines!!
YALL.. are you running the race GOD, JESUS CHRIST set before you? OR are you running a different race?
Sit with that today and REALLY evaluated your life, not just the physical but honey, the spiritual!!
Now, don't get me wrong.. running this race is NOT easy there are hurdles, and rocks, and sticks you gotta get over but He (Jesus) is there to help us.
One more thing... you may ask "but.. how do I run the race God has set before me? Where do I start? HOW!!"
Let's look at verse 2..
"We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne."
Well family.. that sums it up! Look to JESUS..
Start by recognizing, and repenting. Tell Him what's going on in your heart and mind and build a relationship with Him.
Some people don't understand that this walk/race with Jesus its not about doing this or not doing that its about falling in love with the One who already loves us!
Him loving us and us falling in love with Him.. It's all love!!
Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 "come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
and this is TRUE! I can testify to that!
Just give Jesus a shot at loving you.. discover who He is and how He feels about you and watch how your life shifts, because then you will be running the race He set out for you and that's the BEST race to run.. why? Because He's running with you.
